This service is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and most days of the year though I sometimes take a few days off during winter, this winter it's diving with sharks.
I will attempt it get to the site as soon as possible and every attempt is made to locate and capture the animal.
if captured then the animal is relocated to the nearest safe place. There is a return visit included in the price should the snake not be captured.
Cost is $90 during the day and $120 at night. There is no additional charge for weekends and public holidays.
One of the things about living in south east Queensland is that a lot of ceilings show signs that a snake has been there.
Sometimes a dragging sound can be heard and sometimes things go bump in the night. During the mating season, male pythons will ritually combat with each other.
This is basically a wrestling match, no biting, but it can be noisy and can continue, off and on, for upto three days.
if requested, I will go up into the ceiling and attempt to locate and capture any snakes found.
NOTES:
- Snakes can be exceptionally difficult to locate in ceilings, especially if the ceiling has insulation. While I will put in every effort to find the animal, ceiling searches
have a high failure rate.
- It is very rare for dangerous snakes to enter a ceiling, in fact I am yet to encounter one in a ceiling.
But I have relocated a red bellied black snake four meters off the ground in a huge bulldozer's cabin.
- The most common animals encountered in ceilings are:
- Coastal carpet python
- Brown tree snake
- Common tree snake
- Pink tongued skink
- Lace Monitor
- Snakes in a ceiling won't make much of a mess or chew the electrical cables but they do keep animals that do make a mess or chew cables out of a ceiling. I normally
recommend that, if possible, the animal is left there.

If you are worried about snakes on your property I can come and advise you what to do to minimize snakes visiting or living on your property.
There is only two reasons for a snake to stay on your property, there is food and there is cover for the snake to hide in. I will inspect your property and point out snake
attractants, potential snake hiding spots and what to do to minimize snake visits.

If you sight or encounter a snake on the sunshine coast and require infomation about it, send me a photo via text or Whatsapp to
0432465156 and
I will attempt to identify the snake from the photograph. While I can often Identify a snake from sub standard photos the better the photo the greater the chance of success.
It's best to use the phones flash if possible as this shows the animals colors better as most cameras auto focus works better with the flash engaged.
If you only have a video to send it's best to send it via Whatsapp as the video won't be compressed and will be clearer to view.
If the identification is urgent I strongly recommend that you follow though with a call to me as I may not immediately notice a message.
